OVERVIEW
ChampionsGate is a premier destination for golf and recreational enthusiasts

The Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate offers a combination of superior

experience. For meetings, the resort is designed to handle groups up to
2,000 people. The 70,000 square feet of meeting space includes a 25,000
square-foot Grand Ballroom, the National, and a 20,000 square-foot
Junior Ballroom, the International, 27 total meeting rooms, 11,000
square feet of pre-function space, and an abundance of outdoor meeting
space.

opened October 10, 2004. Omni’s blueprint for success at the Omni Orlando
Resort at ChampionsGate includes a world class golf facility, four-star
luxury and impeccable service that caters to every need of meeting and
leisure guests alike.
The Omni luxury resort and spa is Florida’s newest
meetings and golf destination featuring 36 holes of championship golf and a
10,000 square-foot European-style spa.
GOLF
ChampionsGate features two 18-hole championship golf courses designed by
Greg Norman, as well as the world headquarters of the David Leadbetter Golf
Academy.
The National Course is a classic American layout: 7,128
yards of play from the back tees. With traditional roughs and sweeping white
sand bunkers, the National rolls through woodlands, wetlands, and orange
groves.
The International Course evokes the game's Scottish
beginnings. Dramatic and challenging, it ranks with the top resort courses.
There are 7,363 yards of tournament-caliber play with a hard, fast-playing
surface; in short, a true links course.
A 34,000 square-foot clubhouse, home to ChampionsGate
Grill, is convenient to both courses.
ChampionsGate is also headquarters for Meadowbrook Golf
and Frankly Golf. Each year golfing greats like Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus,
and Vijay Singh tee off at ChampionsGate with their sons for the Office
Depot Father/Son Golf Challenge, broadcast nationally on NBC.
Substantial retail
development has already been completed at ChampionsGate including a major
super market, pharmacy, numerous restaurants, banks, and support services.
The new Town Center above will open in 2010.
DEVELOPMENT
ChampionsGate will include 2,864 hotel rooms including the Omni Orlando
Resort at ChampionsGate, 2,136 resort villas and apartments, timeshare
accommodations and 426,000 square feet of retail space and 248,000 square
feet of office space.
HISTORY Planning began in 1987 with the purchase of
137-acres of land adjacent to Interstate 4, near the Osceola/Polk County
line. The first wave of retail construction began in 2000, adding a Publix
shopping plaza.
Construction on the two golf courses and David Leadbetter
Golf Academy began in 1998. In 2000, both the academy and golf courses were
opened for business, followed by the Clubhouse’s completion in October of
2001.
Construction on the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate
began in 2002, and was completed in October 2004.
ECONOMIC IMPACT
The ChampionsGate community has a
projected value of approximately $1 billion.
